Next Meeting Information
Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 13th at 9:30 am, at La Hacienda Rec Center (Ricardo Montalban Room). Make sure to reach out to any new Ladies in our neighborhood and bring them along with you! We will play a game or two to keep the meeting light and enjoyable!
President's WELCOME
As you may have read in the email announcement last week, Sandy Schupp has stepped down as President due to personal reasons. As set forth in the By-Laws, as VP it was my duty to step up to the position, and effective February I will take the helm as President. Barb DiLaura will assume the VP position. Thankfully, Sandy has agreed to fill in as Secretary so we don’t have to search for another officer. Kay Mead will remain as Treasurer.
We thank Sandy for her leadership and tireless work during the past year and her commitment to ensure the success of the Club and all of our activities to serve the members, the neighborhood and our community.
I know I have big shoes to fill and I promise you, the members, that I will do my best to lead this great Club.
COMMITTEES
There have been two meetings of the Social Committee and we have tentatively set a schedule for the year as follows:

LADIES GOLF:
Club members meet every Friday year round for a fun morning of golf and breakfast. It’s a noncompetitive group for both experienced and beginners. If interested please contact Barb DiLaura (954-263-8080, bdilaura@bellshouth.net). Mary Jupin-Nelson (609-617-7707; mjnwine@gmail.com) is our scheduling concierge for February, so reach out to her if you want to play. NEW to this event is what the ladies are calling the BREAKFAST CLUB. If you don’t or can’t play golf, you can still join the crew after their game for breakfast. Just notify the scheduler for the month, and they will advise on where the group is meeting for breakfast so you can join in!
Membership:
The dues for our 2024 season are due now. Please reach out to any new neighbors and offer to bring them to our next meeting. It is a very good way to welcome them into the neighborhood and increase our membership for fun and companionship!
Fundraising:
A “Root Beer Float” Charity Bingo was held on February 4th; 140 people attended. We raised $1,250 for our various charities for 2024. We extend our sincerest gratitude to Linda Scamardi and Kelly Miller for such a successful and fun event.
Directory & Website:
Please notify Evelyn Krawczyk (414-640-2548, evkraw@gmail.com) or Maria Guerrera (703-623-1379, mguerrera93@gmail.com) about any directory changes (email address, phone number, etc.). We can also update your photo any time you wish. The web page is a great reference to put a face with a name.
Prayer Chain:
Terry Lastowka is available (352-255-1155, tlastowka1069@gmail.com) when you find that prayers are needed for you, your family, or friends.

Review of 2022 and 2023 Financial Records:
The Financial Reviews have been completed for 2022 and 2023 by Pattie Beal and Jill Buckley. They reported to the Board that the financial reports are accurate with no significant findings. They were very complimentary of the records kept by our Treasurers.

Please wear your name tags to our meetings and activities.
To order a magnetic name tag, please contact Barb DiLaura (954-263-8080, dilaura@bellsouth.net) ($7.49 in advance). Paper name tags are always available at meetings.
