We now have 56 Yoga classes in RecCenters and 2 that are Zoomed each week. As you can see on the Yoga Map, there are now 7 classes between SR44 and the Turnpike and another 8 farther south. Here is the breakdown of the current classes:

    • 16 = Blue - Anyone can do these classes
    • 15 = Green - Beginners and those who need more instruction
    • 18 = Orange - Advanced beginner – may be gentle but expect more effort and challenge
    • 9 = Pink - Intermediate & advanced – challenging classes requiring fitness and experience

Reminders:

  • Arriving late or leaving a class early is frowned upon, and some instructors will not allow it. Speak with your instructor prior to class. If you have permission, locate your mat near the door and be silent if late or leaving early.
  • RecCenters provide no mats, towels or toys, so bring your own. In addition to a mat, some practices require blocks and a strap. If in doubt, check with the instructor before you attend. Don’t rely on the instructor to provide you with toys that cost only $8 ~ $10.
  • Rec Centers close for a day every 3 months for maintenance, while other scheduled events or elections can also preempt your yoga class. If you are new to a class, check The Daily Sun, call the instructor or facility to verify it is on for that day.
